Energizer Smart Charger

What is a Smart charger, you may ask? What does a Smart charger have that a Dumb one doesn't? It seems rude to say "dumb", let's say a non-smart charger!

Well, the Energizer® Recharge Smart Charger has a timer -so you know how long it will be until the batteries are charged. That's smart! There is also a Battery Fuel Gauge to tell you the status of the charge.

In a non-smart charger, you don't know if you have a bad battery, right away. The Energizer® Recharge Smart Charger will alert you and shut off, if you have a battery than can no longer be charged, or if you put the wrong type of battery in the unit.

Your batteries will last longer, because this charger uses a safe, steady rate.

Energizer rates their NiMH batteries with the ability to be charged up to 250 times.

A bit off-topic: I had an interesting time, wandering around the Energizer.com website. They have a great section called, "Learning Center" with sections called, How Batteries Work and How Flashlights work. Cool! I learned so many things - did you know that little thingie (my former technical word) that touches the end of the battery is called a "contact strip"? Well, of course it is! Did you know the founder of Ever-Ready invented the flashlight? Well, even if you did, I bet you don't know his name! You can find out at the Energizer.com Learning Center, hehehe. I'm such a tease!

Disclosure: If I am one of the first 200 Bloggers to write a post about Energizer, I will win a $15 Target Gift Card and an Energizer Smart Charger. Thank you, Energizer and An Island Life.
